The new series ``Internet Shrine Maiden Connecting the World'' based on the original story by Kogatso and illustrated by Ichika Kino started today, May 29th, on Shonen Jump+.
The story of "Internet Priestess Connecting the World" is set in 1890 during the Meiji era. In this world, a technology called the ``Universal Shrine Maiden Reiko Net'', commonly known as the Internet, that allows people to talk to people over a thousand miles and view bulletin boards has been made available to the private sector. To operate the Internet, you need the knowledge of a shrine maiden, and Kanako, a curious girl, becomes obsessed with the Internet with the help of her sister who has this knowledge. One day, Kanako happens to see an aesthetic picture on an image bulletin board, and decides to train her shrine maiden powers to see more of that picture.
